Type 2 diabetes is common in people with these habits. The ethnic groups in the United States with the highest risk are African Americans, Mexican Americans, and Pima Indians.

In contrast, people who live in areas that have not become Westernized tend not to get type 2 diabetes, no matter how high their genetic risk.

Obesity is a strong risk factor for type 2 diabetes. Obesity is most risky for young people and for people who have been obese for a long time.

American Diabetes AssociationAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3195118970059599158.post-42937375398795544932008-11-16T11:56:00.000-08:002008-11-16T11:56:00.000-08:00LOL RE: OI FUCKFACEbeing diabetic isnt brought on...LOL RE: OI FUCKFACE
being diabetic isnt brought on by yoursel its genetic...
p.s i would rather have diabetes than a fucked up face like yours...
p.s.s oh yeh...as alot of people said...your article is quite offencive.
why dont you make a post that its peoples own fault for having cancerAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3195118970059599158.post-86572004809890765572008-11-16T09:36:00.000-08:002008-11-16T09:36:00.000-08:00It was very obvious to me that the posting "Eat he...It was very obvious to me that the posting "Eat healthy, stay fit" was about diabetes type 2.
And it had some very good observations and advices.
Don't see diabetes type 1 when it is about type 2.
Carie.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3195118970059599158.post-71368921754727781892008-11-16T08:05:00.000-08:002008-11-16T08:05:00.000-08:00You are, in fact, incorrect I'm afraid. As others ...You are, in fact, incorrect I'm afraid. As others have pointed out in response to your blog entry, there are different types of diabetes. I am a healthy 23 year old woman of low to average weight. I am educated and I'm studying to be a dietitian. I don't eat junk food, I exercise regularly, and I take care of myself. I've always taken care of myself. That didn't stop me from being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes two years ago.

You have some reading to do, I think.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3195118970059599158.post-47132734639711522242008-11-15T21:43:00.000-08:002008-11-15T21:43:00.000-08:00This article is horribly offensive and shows how u...This article is horribly offensive and shows how uneducated and ignorant that you are. There is no such thing as diabetes. There is type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and other types of diabetes that are being described now. Type 2 may be mostly caused by the things you describe but Type 1 has no correlation to anything described in your article. So please, next time before you choose to blast off your opinion at least get the basic facts correct. You just sound like an idiot in this article.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3195118970059599158.post-86708804844526113962008-11-15T17:15:00.000-08:002008-11-15T17:15:00.000-08:00Your post about diabetes being "a deadly condition...Your post about diabetes being "a deadly condition that is imposed on the patients by themselves" is extremely offensive to me as a Type 1 diabetic. There is some truth to what you say in relation to Type 2 diabetes - it is often related to obesity, poor eating habits, and an inactive lifestyle. BUT Type 1 diabetes is completely different. It is an auto immune disorder caused by genetics. There is no way to prevent it, reverse it, or cure it. We are insulin dependent for the rest of our lives. I suggest that you do some research before you igmnorantly blast people publicly on the internet for something they cannot help.Jasminehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16682088032060420449noreply@blogger.com
