Hot heat

Over the last weeks it has been unseasonably cool in California, USA.
This in the coastal areas.
An enormous band of clouds coming from the Pacific Ocean covered the coast and in fact made it very pleasant.
In the night it would be cool: about 14º C (57º F)
The morning would come with fog but soon the sun would burn this away.
To present glorious sunny days with temperatures of about 26º C (80º F)

This weather stretched deep into Baja California, Mexico.
This is, along the Pacific coast.
Now, the Fuso Szulc has reached the Sea of Cortez halfway the Baja peninsula.
And here the summer heat rules.
In the daytime it is around 35º C (95ºF)
And the nights do not cool off much: 29º C (85ºF)
At 7 o’clock in the morning it is already 31º C (88º F)

Not very pleasant weather.
The sun too strong.
The temperatures too high.

Hence, no way the summer months are going to be spend again in this part of Mexico.
Lessons from last year have been learned.

Today the Fuso Szulc may reach Ciudad Constitucion.
Where friends Anna and Roberto have this rancho with a huge swimming pool.
Many fervent and loyal blog readers will remember the hallucinating stories of last year when floating at dusk in that pool seeing the palm trees around and the billions of stars above moving in all directions.

After this visit a daring enterprise is planned.
Driving from Ciudad Constitucion to La Paz the dirt road will be taken that goes to El Triple at the Pacific coast.
El Triple, where so many winters have been spent and so much conceptual photography has been made.
Until the whole area was bought by an American developer who intends to construct a resort there.
Last year El Triple was visited and construction had begun.
It had lost all its magic.
Besides that visitors were not welcome anymore.
But meanwhile we are now in a dreadful economic crisis.
Maybe the American developer ran out of money?
And has stopped and abandoned the project?
So that El Triple again becomes an option for staying there?
In cooler temperatures!

We will find out!
Stay stand-by!!
