Although the Fuso Szulc is not one year old yet, the first signs of rust have been appearing on some of its metal sides.
This is something that cannot be ignored.
The rust can be found underneath the camper box.
And on its vertical corners.
One may ask, rust within 12 months, isn’t that a little fast?
The answer may be: yes.
And it is a logical answer.
If metal is not well painted to begin with, rust will appear quickly.
Like the round corners of the camper box.
The metal has never been sanded, primed and painted twice.
The dirty metal, already having oxidation, was spray painted from a can quickly getting one cover only.
During hours of the day not occupied with more important things, all the metal parts showing rust have been cleaned, degreased and sandpapered.
Yesterday was a day without too much wind and the primer was sprayed on the round corners.
Now the waiting is for a new day without much wind to spray the white paint.
Meanwhile the Fuso Szulc looks rather funny.
But it is a positive awkwardness.
It screams to the world that it is being taking care of.
