Natalee Holloway is dead

Many fervent and loyal blog readers will recognize this beautiful girl.

It is Natalee Ann Holloway (born October 21, 1986), an American student from Mountain Brook High School in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.

She disappeared on May 30, 2005 during a high school graduation trip on the Caribbean island of Aruba.

The disappearance generated a media sensation in the United States and Aruba and sparked considerable interest in the Netherlands.

Holloway's disappearance was first discovered by her classmates, who were in Aruba celebrating their graduation from Mountain Brook High School, when she did not arrive at the airport for her return flight.
Holloway was last known to have been seen outside of “Carlos'n Charlie's”, a local restaurant, with Joran van der Sloot and brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe, but the three men denied knowing what happened to her, stating that they had dropped Holloway off at a Holiday Inn where she was staying.
Van der Sloot was arrested twice on suspicion of involvement in her disappearance and the Kalpoes were also arrested three times each, and every one of them was released each time due to lack of evidence.

Aruban investigators conducted an extensive search of the island for Holloway, with the help of thousands of volunteers.
FBI agents also participated in the search, as did fifty Dutch soldiers and specially equipped Dutch F-16s jet fighters.
The searches were without result, and Holloway remains officially missing to this day, although according to Aruban authorities she is most likely dead.

But today was major news in the case of disappeared Natalee.
The Dutch crime reporter Peter R. de Vries claims he has solved the crime.
In his program on Dutch television this Sunday he will reveal what has happened to Natalee.
In a 2-hour show.
The audience will be informed how Natalee died and what happened with her body.

Peter R. de Vries has explained he has been doing research on the Caribbean island of Aruba and in the Netherlands for months.
He says he has been using hidden cameras and microphones to find the truth.
Most people expect that the three boys, most particularly this Joran van der Sloot, who were last seen with Natalee have been trapped by Peter R. de Vries talking about how she died and how they dumped her body in the sea where sharks took care of it.

One of the preparations of Sunday’s 2 hour TV show is that the mother of Natalee has been flown to the Netherlands where she has been informed about the results of the findings.
Her emotional response to the recent news is of course a vital ingredient of the TV show.

By itself it is a very good thing that a crime reporter succeeds in solving a murder case.
If it all will be justified in the TV program this Sunday, the family of Natalee and the audience will know what has happened.
And the police will be able to arrest the suspects and bring them to court.

What is not a very good thing is the fact that Natalee Holloway’s disappearance has been turned into a crime story to entertain the audience and to make money.
Once Peter R. de Vries had the evidence about what happened, he could have approached the authorities and could have given the case to them.
So that justice could have taken care of it.

But what happens now is that a careful planning is behind the way Peter R. de Vries operates with only one objective: to get the maximum publicity for his TV program and as many viewers as possible.
And to boost the value of the information and his video footage that he will sell to the highest bidders of the different American TV channels.

That is pretty sickening.
He knows who did it.
But he won’t tell until Sunday.
Creating suspense.
And a better market to sell.

He allows to be interviewed by many TV programs these days only to say that he will tell what happened and who did it in his own TV program on Sunday.
The arrest of the suspects depends on when Peter R. de Vries thinks it is the right moment to reveal the evidence.

On January 13, the main suspect of Natalie’s disappearance, Joran van der Sloot, a young Dutch boy who at the time was 17, was interviewed together with his parents in a well-known Dutch talk show.
A talk show that is received and watched in the Fuso Szulc as well.
Besides the two journalists interviewing this boy, at the table asking questions was also Peter R. de Vries.
Who didn’t explain at all what he was doing with his hidden cameras on Aruba and the Netherlands.
And he didn’t tell that at that moment in time he already probably knew that Joran van der Sloot was responsible for the disappearance of Natalee.
This means that on purpose Peter R. de Vries had Joran van der Sloot tell on TV he was innocent knowing he was not.
Making his own TV program two weeks later more dramatic, victorious and financially valuable.

Using the disappearance of an 18-year-old Alabama girl for your own glory and commercial success by clever manipulation of the story and the media is, at the least, not to be appreciated.
Right or wrong?

Hi I want to comment on your thoughts about Peter R. de Vries, getting attention to his tv show that you find is sickening. What better way to blow this CLOSED case new life in. It wasn't solved it still isn't, everybody knows that this isn't evidence but a lead to something bigger. Peter knows more than he showed the people of the world... he normaly always do. Don't be surprised when he comes out of a different lane surprising everyone for his cunning act. There will be more to this story and Joran hasn't told the whole truth but parts of it. Also Peter isn't making any money out of this and gets sick himself about TV stations abroad asking permissions and special rights for braodcasting. I als must say that most of the blogs and news channels on the internet have misinformation and tell people made up stories... I live in the Netherlands so I am right at the fire of all. I deeply want this case to solved with the right people behind bars... there are more yes. Perhaps the father!
